Riot's global site organizes VCT competition by territory and stage.[6]
VCT CN editions have their own stages, cities, dates, teams, champions and commercial details; the parent record describes the league and its evolving format.
VCT CN is the China territory’s Tier 1 league in the VALORANT Champions Tour. Riot Games establishes the international league framework, while TJ Sports co-organizes the CN league and manages domestic league operations. The 2024 event announcement identifies Riot Games and TJ Sports as co-organizers and VSPO as event contractor. Riot announced VCT CN as its fourth International League for the 2024 season and identifies Shanghai as its operating base.[2][3][4][10][11]
PTG’s reporting from Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Beijing finds that the touring model is more than moving matches between venues: local culture and commercial spaces become part of the event experience. Guangzhou’s activations drew on Cantonese food, the Canton Tower and local street culture; Hangzhou used technology installations and retail destinations to create a different city route. These examples support a broader reading of VCT CN as a collaboration among competition, game publishing, host cities, clubs, media and fans. They are reported examples from those stops, not a claim that every city uses the same formula.[1]
The same reporting documents closer public roles for club Team Principals, more open media moments, and fans who travel, volunteer and create content around the tour. For operators, this broadens the product beyond broadcast and match tickets, but adds coordination across city partners, venues, clubs and players, as well as travel and operating costs. PTG’s article is the main source for this industry interpretation; it does not quantify the tour’s return on investment or disclose a complete partner-rights inventory.[1]
For the competitive framework, Riot’s 2026 materials list twelve teams in each International League and give four Challengers teams from every territory a route into Stage 2 Playoffs and Champions qualification. Riot also describes the 2026 CN circuit as a five-city tour. PTG’s May feature recorded a broader seven-stop plan at publication time; because the two sources describe plans at different reporting dates, this profile treats the tour as a multi-city format and leaves the confirmed host and dates to edition records. Riot has announced a further 2027 move toward Cups and open qualifiers, with a CN Kickoff field of eight partner teams, two visitor teams and two open-qualifier teams. These are format facts and plans; individual dates, hosts, participants, champions, prize amounts and named partners belong in the relevant edition records.[1][5][6][7]
