VALORANT Champions Tour 2027

PTG Database Analysis

Riot Games announced a tournament-first 2027 season with more than 50 events across 15 cities. The calendar begins with regional Kickoff events on January 14 and concludes with Champions and the Game Changers Championship in Austin on October 10. Riot says open qualifiers begin in November 2026, and teams qualifying through the open system will receive guaranteed qualification payments.[1]

The year is organized around regional Kickoff and Cup events, with international Masters tournaments in Seoul and València. Cup 1 is scheduled across Mexico City, Warsaw, Manila and Wuhan; Cup 2 across Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Tokyo and Shanghai. Kickoff is listed for São Paulo, Berlin, Bangkok and Hangzhou. Those are the 15 cities currently named on Riot’s calendar. The official Chinese announcement clarifies that Hangzhou, Wuhan and Shanghai are only the currently announced VCT CN cities; additional CN locations are expected to be announced when settled.[1][2]

Riot’s April 2026 format explanation described the season as replacing long league splits with more tournament opportunities and repeated open qualification routes. The 2027 announcement says advancement after Kickoff will be determined by performance. The official sources reviewed do not yet provide final participants, a season champion or an aggregate prize pool; those fields remain open until Riot publishes them.[1][3]
