The 2026 Demacia Cup will be upgraded to a Global Invitational, featuring 12 top-ranked teams from the six major regions — LPL, LCK, LEC, LCS, LCP and CBLOL — that did not qualify for the 2026 World Championship. The teams will compete for the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational title from October 3 to 17.

The LPL and LCK will each receive three invitations, while the LEC and LCS will receive two each. The LCP and CBLOL will each receive one invitation. Teams will be selected from those without a 2026 World Championship berth, using the relevant regional qualification, seasonal ranking or World Championship points rules.

For the LPL and LCP, invitations will be determined by the 2026 World Championship points rankings. Due to scheduling considerations, CBLOL will send its fourth-ranked team. If an invited team declines participation, the invitation will pass to the next eligible team under the applicable qualification or ranking rules.

2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational format and schedule

The tournament will be jointly organized by TJ Sports and Huya Live. Starting from the quarterfinals, matches will be held offline at Beijing Smart Esports Center, JDG’s home venue. Details on online broadcast platforms, participating teams and additional event arrangements will be announced later.

The newly upgraded Demacia Cup Global Invitational will give fans a new set of international matchups after the 2026 World Championship field is decided, extending one of the LPL calendar’s established cup competitions into a cross-regional event.
