The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) and New Zealand Esports Federation (NZ Esports) have drafted a memorandum of understanding intended to support cooperation between the two organizations and their esports communities, myKhel reported. The proposed framework covers knowledge exchange, shared learning and practical collaboration. The report describes the MoU as a draft.[1]
The development took place in Auckland during a programme marking a century of sporting ties between India and New Zealand. The Indian delegation visited from Oct. 23 to 26 at the invitation of NZ Esports and the New Zealand government, and three Indian players took part in a bilateral esports event.[1]
NZ Esports General Secretary Ben Lenihan, CEO Jonathan Jansen and Sport NZ representative Brent Sheldrake attended the MoU proceedings. ESFI honorary general secretary Lokesh Suji said the proposed partnership would help the federations exchange expertise and create opportunities for players.[1]
