Google Play and NODWIN Gaming have launched Google Play Arena, a six-game championship in India with free online qualifiers. Google’s Oct. 23 announcement lists Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Free Fire MAX, Moba Legends: 5v5!, Real Cricket, chess through Chess.com, and EA SPORTS FC Mobile. The six clubs are Team S8UL, GodLike Esports, Orangutan Gaming, Revenant XSpark, Team Apex Gaming and Mahi Clutchers, the club associated with MS Dhoni.[1]
Players aged 18 and older can enter online open qualifiers for free. Google says top performers will have the opportunity to represent one of the clubs at a Grand Finale in December 2026. Google did not give an exact date in its announcement; TalkEsport’s Oct. 23 report also specifies only December, while The Esports Radar reports a live final on Dec. 19–20. The Esports Radar also reports that NODWIN will handle planning, partner management, production and broadcast execution; Google’s announcement names NODWIN as a collaborator without detailing those duties.[1][2][3]
