Razer and BLAST separately announced on Sept. 21 that Razer will become the official headset partner of BLAST Premier, the global Counter-Strike 2 tournament circuit. BLAST described the agreement as multi-year, while Razer’s Newsroom specified a two-year arrangement covering 12 events from late 2026 through 2028. The partnership will debut at BLAST Premier Rivals Hong Kong from Nov. 11–15, 2026.
BLAST said Razer will be integrated into broadcasts, digital content and fan-facing activations at arena events, while Razer headsets will be used in the competitive environment. Razer’s formal release says players will compete on stage using its headsets. Neither announcement discloses the financial terms of the deal.
Why It Matters
The agreement places a headset brand inside tournament delivery as well as around the event. Razer is not being presented only through a team or athlete endorsement: the official materials describe stage use, broadcast integrations, digital content and arena activations across the BLAST Premier experience. That gives the partnership a repeatable presence wherever the covered events are staged and distributed.
The product at the centre of the arrangement is the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro. Razer says the model was developed with input from Counter-Strike Major champion and Team Razer athlete Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and other esports professionals, with emphasis on sound clarity, communication, comfort and noise isolation. Razer also cites ProSettings data showing more than 775 tracked professional esports players using a Razer headset; that figure is a company-cited market claim, not an independently audited measure in the announcements.
What Changed
The new commercial designation is the key change: Razer is now identified as BLAST Premier’s Official Headset Partner. Razer’s blog frames the relationship around the 2026 and 2027 seasons and the Bounty, Open and Rivals formats, while its Newsroom release adds the more specific 12-event scope through 2028. BLAST’s own announcement confirms the partner role and activation plan but only calls the agreement multi-year.
BLAST Senior Vice President of Brand Partnerships Steve Rossi said the partnership should strengthen the stage environment for teams and connect Razer with Counter-Strike fans worldwide. The first observable test of that promise will be the Hong Kong event, where BLAST says Razer will have an on-site presence alongside broadcast and event integration.
What to Watch
- The Nov. 11–15 Hong Kong event, including the specific Razer headset setup, broadcast placements and arena activations.
- A complete list of the 12 covered events, which would clarify how the arrangement maps onto the Bounty, Open and Rivals calendar.
- Any later disclosure of financial terms, exclusivity or the exact end date, since BLAST’s public statement is less specific than Razer’s two-year description.
