VNGGames and the city government of Hải Phòng, Vietnam, are preparing the free, open-air Games ON: Hải Phòng 2026, scheduled for Oct. 10–11 at the city theatre square and central garden in Hải Phòng, Vietnam. The event will include national finals for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics, among three competitions expected to feature 32 players, according to the city government’s Sept. 28 preparation report.
Local reporting says the programme will also include experiences with more than 20 VNGGames titles, community and creator activities, an entertainment show and 11 food stalls from eight local brands. The city has integrated the event into its pedestrian-street and night-time economy programme; officials describe the festival as part of efforts to promote tourism and activity in the city centre. Those are stated aims: attendance and economic impact have not yet been reported. Báo Hải Phòng reported the programme on Oct. 3, while Hải Phòng Radio and Television said city departments and VNG were adding event information to the Smart Hải Phòng app.
The event puts esports finals alongside public entertainment and local food in a city-centre setting. Whether the format becomes a recurring or multi-city Games ON programme remains to be seen; the available reports describe the Hải Phòng edition only.
