At the Oct. 24 opening of the 2026 Jingxi Esports Festival in Beijing’s Shijingshan District, the district signed a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with the China Audio-video and Digital Publishing Association. Separately, Jingshi Culture & Tourism signed with Dragon Ranger Gaming (DRG) on an esports-hotel complex project. The announcement describes an agreement to develop the project but gives no investment amount, site, capacity or schedule.[1]
Shijingshan reported 135 gaming and esports-related companies, with annual revenue above RMB 24.81 billion (USD 3.69bn). It also reported more than RMB 192.08 billion (USD 28.6bn) in revenue from the wider culture and related-industries base, whose scale it ranked third among Beijing districts. These are district-reported figures.[1]
The hotel project adds a new proposed development to DRG’s existing Shijingshan presence. The club’s VALORANT, Naraka: Bladepoint and Peacekeeper Elite divisions settled in the district in June 2025, and the Shougang Park Esports Center opened in March 2026.[2][3]
PTG currency note: USD equivalents are rounded estimates using the Oct. 23, 2026, central parity rate of about RMB 6.718 per USD 1, published by China’s State Administration of Foreign Exchange. The conversions divide each reported RMB amount by that rate.[4]
