Esports is a medal sport at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, organized by the Olympic Council of Asia. The OCA approved 11 medal events across 13 game titles. The event is hosted at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Aichi, Japan; the Japan Esports Union’s official event page says some events begin September 22, while the OCA lists the competition window as September 23–October 2.[1][4]

The programme spans team and individual competition. Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and The King of Fighters XV combine into one Competitive Martial Arts team event and one medal, rather than three separate medal events. Other titles include League of Legends, Honor of Kings, Naraka: Bladepoint, Pokémon Unite, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Identity V, Gran Turismo 7, eFootball and Puyo Puyo Champions. The OCA lists 8–24 participating NOCs per title; this is not an athlete total.[1][2]

The Puyo Puyo Champions event has concluded: Nikkan Sports reported that Japan’s Yuki Kurihara beat South Korea’s Kang Dong-shin 10–2 for gold on September 26. That is one title result within an active programme, not an overall esports championship. The OCA announcements do not publish a combined prize pool or one total athlete count.[3]
