PTG Database Analysis

Riot Games organized Rift Rivals as a series of cross-regional League of Legends competitions from 2017 through 2019. Each event matched neighboring competitive regions, and the participating regions and tournament format varied across editions. In 2019 Riot retained the NA–EU and LCK–LPL–LMS–VCS events while discontinuing the other regional pairings. PTG’s records cover five regional groupings from 2017, five from 2018, and both events held in 2019. Riot retired Rift Rivals after the 2019 season.
