PTG Database Analysis

The 2020 edition was the All-Star Event’s first online edition, running December 18–20 as players competed from home or regional studios. Riot split the programme between Underdog Uprising, which paired neighboring regions, and Superstar Showdown, which included professional All-Stars, influencer-led Queue Kings teams and veteran Legends teams.[1]

Riot also ran separate Red Bull 1v1 brackets in the LCK, LCS, LEC and LPL, and said most matches had charitable stakes. Alienware powered the voting. Because the edition combined multiple regional and exhibition competitions, it had no single overall event champion; Leaguepedia records results separately by competition.[1][2]

The All-Star profile now distinguishes the online 2020 edition from the Las Vegas events of 2018 and 2019. Participants remain partial because the edition’s temporary regional, influencer and veteran teams do not map consistently to one stable set of canonical PTG Team entities.[2]
