PTG Database Analysis

VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 concluded on October 18. LOUD VALORANT defeated Team Vitality VALORANT 3–1 in the best-of-five grand final at Mercedes-Benz Arena, and LOUD’s erde was named tournament MVP. Group matches ran September 24–27 and September 29–October 4, followed by the eight-team double-elimination playoffs on October 7–11 and October 16–18. Group matches were best of three; the lower-bracket final and grand final were best of five.[1][12][15]

The group and early-playoff stages were held at Jing’an Sports Center, followed by the October 16–18 finals weekend at Mercedes-Benz Arena Shanghai. Riot’s event guide says AWS powered Pick’Ems, while eligible Mastercard cardholders received priority access to tickets for the group and bracket stage. The finals-weekend preview lists Secretlab equipment and Fan Fest activities, a VALORANT x POP MART collection, an Esports World Cup Fan Fest activation, a booth from Mastercard and Industrial Bank, a Balenciaga collaboration at the VALORANT Concept PC Bang, and a Haidilao city activation. Riot’s Opening Day guide also names DOE as a local activation location.[8][9][11][14] Separately, Riot listed Coinbase, Globant, HyperX, OMEN, Red Bull and Verizon among VALORANT Esports’ global partners for 2026; AWS, Mastercard, Secretlab, and Esports World Cup also appear on the same Riot list. That roster is season-wide, not a set of Shanghai-specific activations.[13] Riot does not publish a prize pool in the official event materials reviewed; the $2.25 million figure in the snapshot comes from VLR and is labeled accordingly.

Riot’s official standings page lists all 16 qualified teams: NRG, G2 Esports, LOUD, 100 Thieves, Team Vitality, FUT Esports, Team Liquid, Karmine Corp, Paper Rex, Nongshim RedForce, Global Esports, T1, JD Gaming, XLG, TYLOO, and EDward Gaming. Each participant is linked to its game-specific VALORANT Team page; LOUD won the title and Team Vitality finished runner-up. The VLR results page records the USD 2.25m prize pool, which Riot’s reviewed event materials do not state.[1][7][12]
