M6 ran at IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre in Putrajaya and at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from Nov. 21 to Dec. 15, 2024. Eight Wild Card teams competed for one Main Stage place alongside 15 direct entrants, creating a 23-team field from 16 regions. MOONTON introduced a Swiss Stage for the 16-team Main Stage. Fnatic ONIC Philippines defeated Team Liquid Indonesia 4–1 in the Grand Finals.[3][4][5][9]
MOONTON’s retrospective identifies Qiddiya and Secretlab as returning partners and Fairrie as the M6 Timekeeper and Jewelry Partner. Its partner announcement also names ASUS ROG and Hello Panda. Meiji says Hello Panda sponsored M6 and supplied product samples at the semifinal and grand final. MOONTON reported 85 million hours watched, 709,919 average viewers and more than 42,000 attendees; these are distinct organizer-reported measures.[6][7][12]
MOONTON also says Hotlink and Tourism Malaysia worked with it on an international media tour of Kuala Lumpur’s cultural, natural and food attractions during M6. The recap does not clarify whether these partners are included among the eight partners whose event activations it mentions.[13]
The Participants tab links all 23 verified team entries, including Wild Card entrants where the edition used that stage.
MOONTON's retrospective names Qiddiya and Secretlab as returning partners, and Fairrie as the M6 Timekeeper and Jewelry Partner. Hello Panda and ASUS ROG also appeared in the published partner group. MOONTON says eight partners delivered activations but names only five; the full partner roster is therefore not verified.[6][7][12]
Hotlink and Tourism Malaysia worked with MOONTON to host an international media experience in Kuala Lumpur during M6. The retrospective does not say whether these collaborators are included in its count of eight partners with event activations.[13]
