Overview
Riot created the Mid-Season Cup as an online meeting between the LCK and LPL Spring Split top four. LCK teams played from LoL Park in Seoul, while LPL teams played from Shanghai LPL Arena. The event ran May 28–31, 2020, as one of the May competitions filling part of the canceled MSI window.[1]
The eight teams played in two four-team groups, with single-game round-robin matches and the top two teams from each group advancing. The semifinals and final were best-of-five, with blind pick in game one of each series.[2] Top Esports defeated FunPlus Phoenix 3–1 in the final and won the listed USD 600,000 prize pool.[3]
