Overview
The Mid-Season Cup was a one-time international League of Legends event organized by Riot Games in 2020. It brought together the top four teams from the LCK and LPL Spring Splits. Riot described it as one of the May events replacing the canceled 2020 Mid-Season Invitational. The event was played online, with LCK teams at LoL Park in Seoul and LPL teams at the Shanghai LPL Arena.[1]
Eight teams were split into two four-team groups for single-game round-robin play. The top two from each group advanced to single-elimination best-of-five semifinals and a best-of-five final; game one of each series used blind pick.[3] Top Esports won the final against FunPlus Phoenix and took the listed USD 600,000 total prize pool.[4]
