The 2022 KIC was the series’ first edition. It used a global Honor of Kings competition build that incorporated Arena of Valor content. Xinhua reported that the 16-team main event began on December 3, with eight places for the KPL and eight for international teams, and that Shenzhen and Seoul hosted the competition. Wuhan eStarPro beat Foshan DRG.GK 4–2 in the December 30 final.[1][3]
The event used a unified global competition build. Chinese reporting documents eight annual partners, two industry partners, TT Voice as the official voice platform and Tencent WangCard as the official team battle-card partner. PTG has canonical Brand pages for three annual partners; the remaining partner identities and the full participant field still need canonical records before their tabs can be complete.[4]
Liquipedia’s runner-up listing conflicts with the Chinese result record from the General Administration of Sport of China; this profile follows the latter. Event venues are reported separately by stage, but PTG venue records have not yet been resolved for this edition.[3][7]
iQOO, Clear Men and PUMA were among the eight annual partners.[4]
The remaining annual partners were SAIC Volkswagen, Dongpeng Special Drink, Bank of Communications Credit Card, Pinduoduo and Marriott Bonvoy. Their canonical PTG Brand pages remain to be created before the partner tab can be complete.[4]
The event named Castrol and Qualcomm Snapdragon as industry partners. Their canonical PTG Brand pages remain to be created before the partner tab can be complete.[4]
TT Voice was the official voice-platform partner and Tencent WangCard the official team battle-card partner. Canonical PTG pages and relationship-layer review remain outstanding.[4]
The main event had 16 entrants. Canonical participant records are still being reconciled at the correct Club and Team layers, so the Participants tab remains partial.[5]
