The International e-Sports Federation (IESF) is the global governing body for esports, founded in 2008 by nine member nations. It serves as an umbrella organization for national esports federations worldwide, including the Korea e-Sports Association.

Role in Esports

IESF organizes the IESF World Esports Championship, an annual multi-title national-team competition, and works toward the recognition of esports as a legitimate sport by international sports bodies. The federation is a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code and promotes fair play standards across the industry.

Membership

IESF membership includes over 130 national federations across six continents. Member organizations like KeSPA and the Saudi Esports Federation coordinate national team selections and domestic esports governance through IESF’s framework.
