Esports appeared as a demonstration programme at the Jakarta-Palembang 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia. The Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association listed six titles: Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 and StarCraft II. It identified the Olympic Council of Asia, Asian Electronic Sports Federation and local organizing committee as co-organizers.[2]

The esports programme was associated with Jakarta. The snapshot uses OCA’s overall Games dates because the reviewed primary pages did not establish one precise start and end date for the six-title esports schedule. Demonstration results were separate from the official Asian Games medal tally.[1][2]
