PTG Database Analysis
IEM Katowice Major 2019 was both the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event in Intel Extreme Masters Season XIII and the 14th Valve-sponsored Major. ESL organized the three-stage tournament in Katowice; the New Challengers Stage was held at ESL Arena, the New Legends Stage at the International Congress Centre, and the New Champions Stage at Spodek. The city venue operator’s retrospective describes the overall event window as February 14–March 3, while Liquipedia dates the Challengers stage from February 13; this profile preserves the stage start date listed by Liquipedia and records the discrepancy here.[1][2]
Twenty-four teams entered the event, and Astralis won the final against ENCE. The city venue operator and Liquipedia report a USD 1 million prize pool. Liquipedia lists Intel, Vodafone, Acer Predator, GAME FUEL, HyperX, Betway, paysafecard and NEEDforSEAT among sponsors. Those entries establish the named relationships, while event-specific activation detail is retained only where supported by a separate primary source.[1][2][3][4]
