Find the right connection

Tencent Esports (腾讯电竞) is the esports division brand of Tencent, the world’s largest gaming company by revenue. It operates and licenses some of China’s most important professional competitions, including the King Pro League for Honor of Kings, and acts as the strategic partner connecting international tournament organizers with the Chinese market.

Esports World Cup strategic partnership

In 2025, Tencent Esports became a strategic partner of the Esports World Cup. The first-year cooperation covers promotion of the tournament in China, opportunities for Chinese players and fans, and joint selection of Chinese clubs and partners. Esports World Cup Foundation CEO Ralf Reichert described Tencent as the foundation’s most important partner for “direction” in China and said the relationship is expected to expand beyond its first year to additional participants in the market.

China’s esports infrastructure

Tencent Esports sits at the center of a mature domestic esports infrastructure that includes long-running professional leagues, tournament circuits and broadcast platforms. Reichert has cited the scale of Chinese players, fans and infrastructure as the reason the world’s largest esports market is a priority for global events like the Esports World Cup.
