PTG Database Analysis
The inaugural PUBG Nations Cup was staged at [Jangchung Arena] in Seoul from August 9 to 11, 2019. PUBG Esports’ retrospective describes the event as the first national tournament in its ecosystem, with 16 squads and 64 players; the official PUBG result post records Team Russia as champion.[1][2]
The edition established the core identity that later PNC tournaments retained: national-color all-star squads, a single PUBG: Battlegrounds ruleset and a short offline final built around cumulative placement and kill points. The 15-match schedule and $500,000 prize pool provide the baseline for comparing the event’s later format expansion.[3]
