IEM Cologne 2024 ran from August 7 to 18 as an ESL Pro Tour Championship in Counter-Strike 2. The playoff stage brought its top six teams to LANXESS arena in Cologne, Germany. The event was operated by ESL FACEIT Group, with Intel as IEM presenting partner.[1][2][3]
The final 24-team field included a late replacement: BetBoom Team withdrew over visa issues and 3DMAX took its place. The field included regional ranking invites, prior EPT winners and the German qualifier ALTERNATE aTTaX. Team Vitality beat Natus Vincere 3–1 in the grand final. ESL FACEIT Group reported 39,000 attendees across the three playoff days and named ZywOo the DHL ESL Pro Tour MVP.[1][4][5]
EFG said it renewed its long-running DHL partnership and welcomed Logitech and Unilever nutrition brands as partners at the 2024 event. The public partnership tab links Intel, DHL and Logitech G, whose official names resolve to PTG records. The event reported more than 1.05 million online viewers, a figure attributed to Esports Charts by EFG.[1][7]
