PTG Database Analysis

The Counter-Strike competition at ESWC 2007 ran at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris from July 5–8. Contemporary records name Games-Services as the company behind the competition. Liquipedia lists a July 3 start in its infobox, but its event description gives July 5–8; ESWC’s official archive and contemporary coverage corroborate the July 5 opening of the finals.[1][2][3][4]

The 48-team Counter-Strike 1.6 field played a group stage followed by a best-of-three single-elimination bracket. Team Pentagram defeated NoA 2–1 in the final, with fnatic third and mibr fourth. Its USD 76,000 pool was allocated among the top three: USD 40,000, USD 24,000 and USD 12,000. The official ESWC archive reports 652 champions from 52 countries across the full multi-game finals, a separate total from this Counter-Strike field.[1][2][3][6]

The ESWC archive lists 18 main partners for the edition. PTG links the partners with canonical pages, including Intel, Orange, Plantronics, SteelSeries, Logitech G, Xbox, PlayStation, Blizzard Entertainment, Konami and Fnac. The eight Liquipedia first-stage group tables list 43 distinct teams, all now linked to canonical Counter-Strike profiles. The overview infobox reports 48 teams; the five additional names are not identifiable in those group tables, so participant coverage remains partial.[2][8]
