PTG Database Analysis
World e-Sports Masters moved to Hangzhou under its Masters identity in 2008. Liquipedia lists WEG as the Counter-Strike organizer and GIGABYTE and SteelSeries as sponsors. Hangzhou Normal University’s contemporaneous account describes the overall WEM event as jointly hosted by Hangzhou Municipal Government and JoongAng Ilbo, with local agencies undertaking it and the university as special co-organizer. It places the closing ceremony at the university art center, but does not establish that as the Counter-Strike match venue; the CS venue therefore remains unverified. Eight teams competed: mTw, e-STRO, SK Gaming, wNv Teamwork, mousesports, fnatic, Team Dragon and Meet Your Makers. mTw defeated mousesports in the final. All eight participants now link to canonical Team pages.[1][2][3][4]
