PTG Database Analysis
The Bundesliga is Germany’s top professional men’s football league, operated as a recurring national competition with 18 clubs. The official Bundesliga site reports Bayern Munich as the 2025–26 champion. The league’s core competition is traditional football rather than an esports tournament, but its commercial rights extend into data, media, licensing and interactive entertainment.
The Bundesliga and Electronic Arts have partnered since 1998. Their August 27, 2026 renewal retains Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 content in EA SPORTS FC, including FC 27, FC Mobile and FC Online, and includes plans to deepen collaboration using TRACAB football data and tracking. The partners will also explore fan engagement through the EA SPORTS App. EA SPORTS FC remains a partner of the Virtual Bundesliga, the league’s official FC Pro competition, and presenting partner of its Player of the Month and Player of the Season awards.[3]
