Garena and Tencent Games co-organized the third Arena of Valor International Championship, staged in Bangkok from November 6 to 24, 2019. Garena’s pre-event schedule listed November 5 as the opening day, but its recap records the event as beginning November 6. The format used two groups of six in a BO1 double round robin, then BO7 single-elimination playoffs; the semifinals, third-place match and final were played at True Icon Hall at ICONSIAM on November 23–24.[1][2]
Team Flash Arena of Valor beat Buriram United 4–1 in the final. Hong Kong Attitude defeated HTVC IGP Gaming 4–2 in the third-place match. The 12-team field came from nine regions; Garena advertised a USD 500,000 prize pool.[1][2][3]
Garena reported almost 5,000 attendees at the Bangkok final and more than 53 million official-platform viewing instances across its licensed markets. The latter is a cumulative platform count, not a unique-viewer estimate. Broadcasts were available in six languages. Liquipedia lists True Icon Hall and “True Together” as sponsors, but the official materials reviewed establish the hall only as the semifinals and final venue and do not verify an AIC-specific sponsorship or activation. The hall’s hosting role is recorded separately from sponsorship.[2][6]
