The Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sport Association (VIRESA) is Vietnam’s national esports association. Its official mission page says the association was established in 2009 and is responsible for directing, organizing and developing esports and recreational sports in line with Vietnam’s wider sports strategy.
VIRESA leads Vietnam’s esports national-team programme for multi-sport events. Its official site listed the September 16, 2026 send-off for the delegation attending the 20th Asian Games, while VNG’s release identifies VIRESA as the national-team lead working with VNGGames on selection, athlete assessment and support.
The public record also links VIRESA and VNGGames to a national championship system launched in 2025. The existence and stated purpose of the cooperation are documented; its detailed rules, calendar and governance split remain to be published.
