Polymarket is a peer-to-peer prediction market platform where participants trade shares tied to the outcomes of future events. Its official Help Center describes YES and NO shares priced between US$0 and US$1, with each outcome pair backed by US$1 in USDC. At resolution, a share representing the correct outcome pays US$1; the company says traders take the other side of one another’s positions rather than betting against a house.

The platform lists markets across topics including politics, economics, sports, esports, technology, and culture. Prices move with the supply and demand for outcome shares, so they reflect the market’s current implied probability rather than a price set by the platform.

Polymarket’s international website and its U.S. app are separate products, according to the company’s Help Center. Access and trading availability also vary by location, and Polymarket maintains a list of restricted countries and regions.

In June 2026, GRID announced a partnership with Polymarket that brought official esports data, live streaming, and interactive match features to the platform’s esports hub. GRID says its data comes through publisher and tournament-organizer partnerships; this gives esports markets a dedicated live-data and viewing experience inside Polymarket.
