Nongshim manufactures and sells instant noodles, snacks and beverages from its headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. Established as Lotte Industrial Company on September 18, 1965, it adopted the Nongshim name in March 1978. Its product history includes the 1986 launch of Shin Ramyun. The company maintains food operations across domestic and overseas markets.[1][2][3]

Its esports business operates through Nongshim Esports, the company behind Nongshim RedForce. Nongshim’s audited consolidated accounts list a 95.08% interest in that subsidiary at December 31, 2024. This is the food operating company, a separate legal entity from Nongshim Holdings.[1]

Maeil Business Newspaper reported in October 2026 that Nongshim provided approximately KRW 1.5 billion in annual sponsorship plus performance incentives, and had contributed KRW 2.5 billion and KRW 4 billion through capital increases in 2022 and 2024 respectively. The reported combination of ownership, sponsorship and equity funding makes the parent company a material source of support for the esports operator.[4]
