JOYY Inc. is a global technology company headquartered in Singapore. Its products span live streaming, short-form video, messaging and smart-commerce software. The company changed its name from YY Inc. to JOYY Inc. in December 2019 and its Nasdaq ticker from YY to JOYY in March 2025.[1][2][3]

Huya began in 2014 as JOYY’s game livestreaming business unit. JOYY transferred related operating assets into Huya entities in 2016–2017 and later held shares in HUYA Inc.; it sold its remaining shares to Tencent in 2023. The relationship recorded here is historical and does not represent current ownership.[4]
