The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is a publicly funded university whose teaching and research focus on teacher education, alongside complementary social sciences and humanities disciplines. Its Tai Po campus is at 10 Lo Ping Road in Hong Kong, China.[1]
The institution was inaugurated as the Hong Kong Institute of Education in 1994 and came under the University Grants Committee in 1996. It adopted its university title following the gazettal of the amendment ordinance on May 27, 2016, and received full self-accrediting status in 2018.[2]
In October 2026, BLAST cited an independent EdUHK report in its account of the economic, tourism and audience impact of BLAST Premier Rivals Hong Kong 2025. That attribution identifies the university’s research connection to the event; the impact figures in PTG’s coverage remain attributed to the organizer’s account.[3]
The university’s Academy for Educational Development and Innovation offers a Master of Arts in E-Sports Management. The self-funded, 24-credit programme includes esports event planning and management, venue management, marketing and corporate governance, with experiential learning among its elective courses. The programme combines industry knowledge with practical management training.[4]
