PTG Database Analysis

Liquipedia lists shgOpen 2006 as a 64-team Counter-Strike S-Tier event held at Fredericia Messecenter on February 17–19. NoA defeated Fnatic in the final; Serious Gaming finished third. The CS event’s listed prize pool was DKK 340,000. The venue was renamed MESSE C in 2011, so PTG connects the historical venue to the current canonical profile while preserving the 2006 name in the relationship.[1][2][3]

The reviewed 2006 event page and archived reports do not identify an organizer or sponsor. PTG does not use shg.dk A/S as organizer based only on its separately documented 2007 role. The Liquipedia page shows 16 teams in its playoff bracket from a 64-team event. PTG links those 16 bracket entrants, while the source does not provide canonical identities for the remaining group-stage field. Participant coverage therefore remains partial.[1][4]
