PTG Database Analysis

Liquipedia lists GameGune 2007 as an S-Tier, 30-team Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament with a EUR 22,500 prize pool. Its Participants section displays 32 named entries, while the infobox says 30 teams; PTG links all 32 entries to canonical Counter-Strike Team pages. The competition used a best-of-one group stage followed by a double-elimination bracket, with later rounds also played as best-of-three. Fnatic defeated Made in Brazil in the final; emuLate finished third and Team Logitech.fi fourth.[1][2][3]

The event was staged at Bilbao Exhibition Centre as part of Euskal Encounter 15. The venue’s official address places it in Barakaldo, although tournament coverage promoted the location as Bilbao. Euskaltel Foundation’s retrospective identifies GameGune as part of the LAN festival it organizes. A contemporary account says the GameGune area hosted WGT tournaments sponsored principally by ASUS and Intel; PTG records those brands as partners in that program context, not as sponsors of unrelated Euskal Encounter activities.[4][5][6]
