PTG Database Analysis

Liquipedia lists the Counter-Strike S-Tier bracket at DreamHack Winter 2006 as a 16-team professional event held at Elmia in Jönköping, Sweden, from November 30 to December 2. Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated H2k Gaming; the organizer’s post-event release confirms the final and says NiP qualified for CPL Winter in Dallas. All 16 entrants have canonical PTG team links.[1][2]

The festival also hosted an open World Gamemaster Tournament Counter-Strike contest. Its separately published 42,000 SEK prize pool and Volt Gaming victory belong to that open bracket, so PTG does not merge those facts into this S-Tier professional tournament. The sources reviewed do not establish a prize pool or a tournament-specific commercial partner for the professional bracket.[3][4][5]
