DreamHack Open Bucharest 2016 was an eight-team S-Tier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event held at Sala Polivalenta from September 16 to 18. Its two four-team groups used a GSL format, with opening matches played best-of-one and elimination and decider matches best-of-three. The top two from each group advanced to best-of-three single-elimination playoffs.[1][3]

Virtus.pro defeated Cloud9 in the final. Team Dignitas and Team EnVyUs finished third–fourth; Heroic and FaZe Clan placed fifth–sixth; Gambit Esports and FlipSid3 Tactics finished seventh–eighth. The recorded prize pool was USD 100,000.[1][4]
