Korea Ratings is a credit rating and business valuation company based in Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 1983 and listed on KOSDAQ, it evaluates credit risk and provides valuation work in energy and infrastructure, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, corporate diagnosis and company valuation.[1]
The agency publishes distinct short-term and long-term rating scales. Its short-term scale runs from A1 to D; A3 denotes a moderate short-term credit condition with low default risk but exposure to volatility. Ratings should be read using the relevant instrument and the agency’s own definitions.[2]
In PTG’s esports coverage, Korea Ratings is the agency identified by Maeil Business Newspaper as assigning A3 ratings to Nongshim Esports’ commercial paper and electronic short-term bonds on September 29, 2026. The grades relate to those short-term instruments.[3]
